Treatment Support

After spending the last 5 years working specifically with patients and clients on lowering inflammation I truly believe this has become our modern day epidemic. It underlies so many of today’s hard-to-treat health challenges.

Between our modern-day diet, lifestyle, stress, and level of toxic exposure it’s easy to see why so many people are dealing with uncontrolled, chronic inflammation.

Remember, inflammation itself is not the issue. It’s actually a necessary part of self protection and is what allows your body to heal from injury. The problem though is when this self-protecting process becomes uncontrolled and spreads throughout the body.

Long-term uncontrolled inflammation can wreak havoc on your body; everything from autoimmune disease, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, depression, and Alzheimer’s can all be traced back to inflammation.

Before it gets to the point of disease there are warning signs that inflammation is building in the body. If you pay attention to these signs and take the steps necessary to regulate the inflammatory process you may very well prevent those diseases from ever becoming a problem.

So the question then is, are you experiencing chronic inflammation? Do you suffer from any of the following? And remember I don’t mean an occasional issue with one of the below, I mean chronic unrelenting symptoms.

Allergies

Food or environmental allergies are a sign of inflammation. When your body is inflamed, your immune system is stretched and will often overreact to otherwise benign substances.

Headaches

Chronic inflammation will travel and spread throughout your entire body. For many people the nervous system becomes targeted. An inflamed and irritated nervous system can manifest as chronic headaches or migraines or even depression and anxiety. In children it can also manifest as ADD/ADHD or other neuro-developmental disorders.

Skin Eruptions

Inflammation travels through the blood stream and can show up in the skin. Chronic skin eruptions and rashes, eczema, hives, or acne are all signs of uncontrolled inflammation.

Pain

As inflammation travels, for many people it lodges itself in joints or muscles. This can manifest as chronic aches and pains from arthritis, fibromyalgia, or other pain syndromes. What I have found is that when clients come to me with chronic pain (for any cause or reason) as we start to lower inflammation in their body their pain too lessens.

IBS

Because there is such a huge dietary component to inflammation, the symptoms will often manifest right in the gut. There are many inflammatory digestive conditions that respond incredibly well to an anti-inflammatory protocol, particularly hard to treat conditions like unexplained IBS or inflammatory bowel conditions.

Difficulty Losing Weight

Last but not least when the body is taxed by inflammation it will often hang on to excess weight. So if you’ve been struggling to lose weight without much success despite traditional methods like eating better and exercising more, inflammation could be the culprit getting in the way.

Take Home Message

If any of the above signs and symptoms ring true for you, then you likely have a build-up of inflammation in your body. This could very well explain why these challenges have been so hard to treat and why traditional approaches haven’t worked.

Unless you get to the root of the chronic inflammation and take steps to get rid of it, these health challenges will continue to be a problem for you and unfortunately over time may evolve into even more challenging conditions or diseases.

In the coming weeks I will walk you through my 3-step process for controlling inflammation in your body. These steps will start to turn the tide in your favor and help you finally take control over your health challenges.
