I had so much fun talking with Jeanne Rosner, MD and the SOUL Food Salon folks all about “Nourishing The Immune System” this month. Were you able to join us? I’d love to hear what you thought if you were there!
It’s sort of a strange thing to talk to a computer and imagine all the people on the other side of their screens watching along.???? Much different than presenting to a room full of people.
This is such an important topic though as we’re all navigating the COVID pandemic and many of you are also navigating a cancer journey. I truly believe that the immune system is foundational to a healthy body.
Throughout nature, we see that healthy organisms are naturally resistant to infections.
The more steps we can take to optimize our immune systems, the better able we will be to naturally fight off any infections we might be exposed to as well as help prevent disease.
If you weren’t able to join us live…no worries! Jeanne was kind enough to upload the recording to her YouTube channel for everyone to enjoy. If you’d like to carve out some time to watch it, you can do so here ⬇️.
Here’s a brief outline of what I cover in this video:
- 5 lifestyle factors that can suppress the immune system.
- 5 lifestyle factors that can enhance the immune system.
- My 4 pillars for an immune enhancing diet:
- Plant Based
- Anti-Inflammatory
- Colorful
- Top 10 Immune Boosting Foods
- My top 3 immune supporting supplements.
If you want to dive a bit deeper into the details of what I’m discussing, you may enjoy looking back at these 2 articles from my blog:

And of course it’s helpful to have some ideas of how to implement all the suggestions I discuss in the video. Here are a few recipes from both my book and blog to help you get started:

All of the recipes in my new cookbook will help support a strong & balanced immune system. The ingredients had to meet that criteria for me to consider including them in the book.
